Emmeline is run by
Katri
Motuste,
textile designer and ethnologist Master of Arts, who has over 25 year
experience in
freelance textile design (clients Taito-lehti, Suuri
Käsityölehti, Esito Oy, Biketex Oy, PiikkoPirta among
others). Her knit designs have been published in several craft and
design magazines: Taito-line/Taito-lehti, Suuri
Käsityölehti, PiikkoPirta Knit Club.
Side by side with textile art Katri does also visual design, product design and design assignments. She also holds courses and
lectures.
Katri
has also an experience in exhibitions,
book publishing, theatre and fantasy costume design, publications and webpages.
Also she has done ethnological research in
handycrafts history, folk art and ornamentics as well as coordination
of international culture projects.
